Aialik Bay – Kenai Fjords National Park
4 Day Alaska Sea Kayak Adventure
A Backcountry Safaris host will meet you at the Anchorage International Airport and transport you to your hotel. After unpacking and catching your breath, our guides will meet you for dinner and pre-trip planning. After dinner, we can take you to pick up any last minute personal items and tour downtown Anchorage.
 Day 1 — Early morning drive from Anchorage to Seward. Load our sea kayaks and gear onto an ocean charter vessel for a three-hour marine wildlife and glacier cruise to our first camp. Along the way, we round Cape Aialik, pass Caines Head, Bear Glacier, and a Stellar sea lion haul out. We'll set up camp, then devote the rest of the day to sea kayak safety and instruction as we paddle around our new environment.
Day 2 — This is your full day of sea kayaking in Kenai Fjords. Paddle around glaciers and explore the inter-tidal zone in your stable sea kayaks. Paddle in lagoons at the face of tidewater glaciers and view harbor seal families resting on the icebergs.
 Day 3 — Enjoy a morning paddle near camp. Meet the charter boat at mid-day and take another marine wildlife and glacier cruise back to Seward. In the afternoon we have the option to visit the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward and tour this research and educational facility that showcases the region's marine life. The remainder of the afternoon is yours to stroll along the small boat harbor or shop in the town of Seward. Meet for no-host dinner or find an intimate table on your own. Overnight in Seward.
 Day 4 — Meet for no-host breakfast in the seacoast town of Seward. Drive back to Anchorage, enjoying the beautiful Kenai mountains and search for bald eagles, beluga whales and Dall sheep on this designated National Scenic Byway. Arrive in Anchorage by noon.
Tour Includes: Transfers to and from Anchorage, Guided Hiking and Sea Kayaking, Meals During Trip (unless otherwise noted) and Logistics Staff Coordination.
