Guided Walking Tour of Historic Downtown Anchorage

The Guided Walking Tour of Historic Downtown Anchorage take visitors back to Anchorage's beginning as a railroad boomtown in 1915. Learn about the pioneers that built the town from knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteer guides as you walk among Anchorage's historic buildings. The Guided Tour takes approximately 1 ˝ to 2-hours and covers about two miles of easy walking. A stop will be made at the Oscar Anderson House Museum, which is Anchorage's only historic house museum. Oscar Anderson built the house in 1915, the self-proclaimed 18th person to set foot in Anchorage, and has withstood the changing times of the growing town. Many treasured memories of the Anderson family and the history of Anchorage is nestled throughout the house helping visitors and residents alike remember the life of times past.

Tour Itinerary: Depart Downtown Anchorage at 9:00am and Return to Downtown Anchorage 11:30am or Depart Downtown Anchorage at 1:30pm and Return to Downtown Anchorage at 4:00pm

Tour Includes: Exclusive 1 ˝-Hour Guided Walking Tour, Admission Fees Into the Oscar Anderson House, Bottle Water, On-Site Staff to Dispatch Tour, and Logistics’ Staff Coordination.
